[Be Bold + Thrive] Clients Want You to Wave Your Magic Wand

You want to make a difference as an entrepreneur and small business owner, right?

Well, get this: I just read that 44% of small business owners believe that the changes they’ve made because of the pandemic will be permanent. And 52% of consumers have changed how they shop and buy.

So, big time change continues to be in the air. You can help others through all this change in a very meaningful way.

Your clients are up for it and they want you to bring your magic wand!

How to Choose Your Biggest Contribution Yet

You see, your biggest contribution happens at the intersection of your client’s biggest problems, your passion, and transformational solutions.

So, first, your client’s problems.

If you aren’t quite sure what your client’s biggest problems are at this point in the pandemic party, I offer a simple, straightforward way to figure that out in the Be Bold + Thrive Guide. I did a video on it, too.

The next step is to pick which big problem you are most motivated and passionate about to solve.

Only pick the ones that give you juice, the ones where you say to yourself “I would LOVE to tackle that!”

Now imagine you wave a magic wand and your client’s problems were solved.

What does that transformation look like? Not a band-aid, not an upgrade, but something that feels like magic to clients because it’s not easy or possible for them to do it themselves.

This is your opportunity to be bold!

For you to go beyond what you already do or how you do it to step up to meet your client’s needs. Consider what you may need to learn, what new resources you need to obtain, or who you may need to hire to increase your capacity to solve these problems.

These Gals Did It

Examples always help, so here’s three.

  1. At the beginning of the pandemic, one of my clients, Lisa Dearden, waved her wand and implemented an online ordering system so that farmers and buyers for her 5 farmer’s markets could continue under COVID restrictions. Lifesaver! And now she offers a year-round farmer’s market which is expanding her business.

  2. Another client, Emilie Davis, waved her wand by creating a painless, affordable way to build beautiful websites for small business owners who suddenly needed a site that sells. Now those same clients need ongoing marketing support, and her business is exploding.

  3. And yet another client, Ellen McIlhenny, used her wand to relieve the anxiety of cash flow challenges for small business owners, first through PPP loans and now as a fractional CFO.

These gals are all sharp cookies who genuinely tackled big, urgent problems for their clients with big, transformative solutions.

Now it’s your turn
